There is something magical about Medellin that you have to see for yourself. It does not matter how you chose to enter Medellin, maybe by air, by sea or by land, the aroma of Medellin will tantalize you. As the saying goes, never judge a book by its cover. This saying is applicable to Colombia and Medellin. If you have never visited Medellin, you might have heard that it is a city built with drugs and violence. But, contrary to what you might have heard or seen on Netflix, Medellin is a completely different city. The mainstream society is that of happy people willing to catch a fun time without prejudice. Medellin is caressed by a thick white cloud with its panoramic view, majestically and beautifully seated in the middle of the “Lomas” mountains with gentle sun rays caressing her sweaty smooth face.
Having visited the nook and crannies of Colombia, Medellin is the capital city of the state of Antioquia where the natural beauty of landscapes befriends nature. Nature itself has shown its beautiful face on the people and most especially women with gorgeous, charming and stunning bodies that you may not find anywhere else in Colombia, or even Latin America.
Medellin and Antioquia have different tourist attractions that you may need to visit which include Explorer Park, Pueblito Paisa (you can have a panoramic view of the city from here). Guatape also has its charm, situated outside Medellin at roughly a two hour drive is a beautiful place to visit. Flower park or “parque flores” is a touristic place where you can see different flowers which are uniquely Colombian.
There is no way you can satisfactorily complete your trip if you do not take your time to visit the Stadium which hosts the famous football club, Atletico Nacional and sometimes Independent Medellin. The stadium which is proudly called Atanacio Girardot is worth visiting near the 70th street (CR 70).
Talking about “La Cr 70”, it is one of the highbrow streets in Medellin adorned with luxurious bars, discotecs, two five stars hotels, restaurants, banks (financial institutions), fast food joints, eateries and a host of performing artists on the streets trying to entertain and earn a living. Streets in Medellin are easy to navigate and commute because of its excellent transportation system which is incomparable with any other city in Colombia. “Paisas” are diligent people who can always work hard to make money. As a result, Medellin has become synonymous with successful people who are always trying to progress in life.
Last but not the least, there are many things in Medellin that words alone cannot capture. You really need to see, feel, touch and experience the city first hand. Night life in Medellin is absolutely active, most especially from Wednesdays to Saturdays. La 33, San Juan, Parque Lleras, Parque Poblado, Centro (downtown) and the other parts of the city are always in the party mood, festivities and good living standard .
Medellin and Antioquia are undoubtedly the home of typical nutritious food in which “Bandeja Paisa” takes the lead.
