Money can be an all-encompassing answer to a problem. Those that are willing to throw money at other people besides the target, often create more of a problem than what was identified. Even acknowledging that you need money puts you at a disadvantage. The goal is to focus on the community to be built with time, hard work and trust; like the Golden Mile’s motto for the consciousness to survive when the wielding stick of dominance comes to town. There are many people with money who say they could buy influence, however if the Libra really existed then one could easily see the profit in having the influencers close to you. Influence would be the same as a commodity in that it could be traded between markets for a reasonable equality of goods and services. In my own defense, this never became a reality before moving back to the US from Colombia. There were not enough fish in the pool to even make a justifiable relation between the market I was entering.
My majority stake in what I had developed became all too personal in the eyes of the individual people I wanted to surround myself with, making myself look exceedingly small in their eyes.
